"... something that is worth sparing some time for, maybe with a glass of whiskey or wine in candlelight shine at night. In simpler words, it is special. Something that can be found only a few times per year and for me personally it is one of the best atmospheric albums of 2014 I have heard yet. Recommended for anyone, as it's quite an easy start for beginners of the genre, yet able to satisfy even the most advanced fans."

Ukrainian Black Metal. To say this is nuts is an understatement! At first you are tempted to dismiss it as noise but then it slowly pulls you in until you are hooked & cannot escape! Of all the mind f*cking albums in my collection this has gotta be one of the mindiest f*ckingest of all... :) Love the cover! Recommended. bmurator

This comes together quite well. If you are into Mesarthim and the like you will be into this. I won’t lie though it could have been shorter. Sometimes ambient artists are a bit self indulgent. It’s very beautiful on the ambient electronic side though, so I’m not really complaining. The black metal rips. Great drums and vocals. Metallurgical Fire

After listening to Ysyry Mollvün, listening to Downfall of Nur was urgent and turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time: Umbras de Barbagia is simply magisterial; the atmosphere can hardly be compared to anything else. There is a deep, palpable connection to nature imbueing each very fibre of this record. The amalgamation of black metal and folk elements is done with a high intuition for detail and class, resulting in a highly immersive experience. Wonderful. David Fischer
